We would like to take a moment to thank everybody for their tireless hard work over the last few years. Thanks for the support that the School Boards, Superintendents and Athletic Directors showed us.
Williamsville, Monsignor Martin, Kenmore, Amherst/Sweet Home, Orchard Park/Frontier and West Seneca and Lancaster Schools for being Pioneers in our upcoming inagural season. Special thanks to Rick Hopkins for getting me involved.

This Form is Now Working Again! Thanks Ken M.
This is Girl's 4 Varsity Ice Hockey, a group of educated parents, supporters, tax payers and young women dedicated to seeing that school sponsored High School Ice Hockey becomes a reality in WNY next season, 2009 - 2010. Please carefully look through all the material and articles that are presented here. We certainly hope that our mission is successful so we need your support. Volunteer to do something for the cause. Attend your monthly school board meetings with your children dressed in hockey jerseys. Numbers don't lie, so if you show up en masse, you will make a difference.
We could use help with:
- Marketing
- Legal Issues
- Organizational Skills
- Sponsorships
- T-Shirt Printing

Establishing High School Sanctioned Varsity Ice Hockey will help create more opportunities for higher education through sport. There are several Colleges and Universities that offer Women's Ice Hockey at the Div. 1 and 3 levels as well as Club and that means additional resources for scholorships and financial aid for our girl's. In fact many of these institutions are within 200 miles of Buffalo.
Western New York School Districts are far behind their counterparts in Central and Northern New York where girls high school hockey has been played for several years and keeps expanding. With difficult finacial times here it is no excuse to sweep this issue under the carpet. There are laws on the books for equality in education and athletics. Again, the time to do this is NOW!
Can we count on your support? Thank you.

We would like to thank Holiday Twin Rinks, especially Mark Grunditch and Ron Nowakowski for allowing us the use of both rinks Monday March 23rd 2009 at 6am for our demonstration unity games. Special thanks to Channel 2 for broadcasting live from the rink and to Charity Vogel from the Buffalo News for your coverage as well. Without all the support and help from the media we wouldn't be as far as we are today. Click here for Channel 2 Video.
Girls 4 Varsity Ice Hockey would like to thank all the Girls and their parents for the awesome showing of support. Approx 200 girls crowded the Olympic Rink at the Amherst Pepsi Center Sunday night. We would also like to thank the Niagara Purple Eagles and The UB Lady Ice Bulls for their support and having girls from their teams skate with our girls. We would also like to thank Janet and Randy Shultz from WNY Hockey Magazine for their tremendous support.
